Dr. Wendy Osefo is setting the record straight after rumors swirled online about The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 being delayed. The whispers claimed the production had been postponed following Karen Huger’s sentencing in her DUI case. But Osefo, never one to let misinformation slide, took to Instagram to debunk the claims.
“That’s a lie ?,” she fired back on March 14, putting an end to the rumors with a quick and direct response.

The drama surrounding RHOP didn’t stop after the season 9 reunion aired earlier this month, where Osefo, alongside co-stars Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Mia Thornton, Stacey Rusch, and Keiarna Stewart, rehashed the intense moments of the season. However, one familiar face was missing: Karen Huger. At the time of filming, the “Grand Dame of Potomac” was in a private recovery program and couldn’t attend the taping of the reunion special.
Wendy Osefo’s Thoughts on Karen Huger’s Legal Trouble
Osefo expressed her shock and concern for Huger after news of the DUI sentence broke. Speaking to Us Weekly, Wendy Osefo shared, “I was definitely shocked, but I’m just keeping her in my prayers because I’m sure it’s a very difficult time for her.”

Huger’s manager, Ryan Tresdale, also voiced support in January, telling The Daily Dish, “We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.”
After being convicted of DUI, Huger was sentenced to one year in jail, and reports confirm she is currently serving her time at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Maryland.
Support From the Cast
Though Huger couldn’t attend the reunion, her co-stars have made it clear they’re rallying behind her. Gizelle Bryant, who helped launch the show alongside Huger, told listeners on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy Live that she’s kept in touch with Karen’s husband, Ray Huger. “All the ladies have been very concerned about [Karen’s husband] Ray,” Bryant revealed. “I did tell him, ‘We wanna start sending you food on a weekly basis. We’re gonna take turns.’ He did say he’s overwhelmed with food, no, thank you. He knows we’re here to support in whichever way we can.”
