Last night, we attended the Cowboy Couture Fashion Show at the historic Star Hill Ranch, hosted by Modern Luxury’s Austin Way magazine. It was an experience that made us feel like we’d stepped into a scene straight out of a Hollywood film.

Star Hill Ranch: A Hollywood-Approved Setting

When you walk onto Star Hill Ranch, you don’t just see it—you feel it. This place isn’t just a venue; it’s a filming location / movie set, a time capsule and an icon all rolled into one.

Hollywood greats like Billy Bob Thornton filmed here for The Alamo, capturing the raw spirit of Texas history. Pierce Brosnan brought oil baron drama to life on these very grounds in The Son. And last night? It became the epicenter of fashion, elegance, and Western charm.

With its rustic wooden storefronts and twinkling string lights, the setting was pure magic—a place where past and present, film and fashion, all blended together effortlessly.

The Show: A Love Letter to Western Fashion

When the lights dimmed and the first model stepped onto the runway, it was instant electricity.

The Cowboy Couture Fashion Show was a masterpiece of contrasts—where rugged meets refined, where classic cowboy style gets a modern, high-fashion twist.

Presented by Double D Ranch, the collection was a stunning mix of intricately embroidered leather jackets, bold statement vests, and hats that belonged on the silver screen. Every piece felt like a work of art, effortlessly blending Western heritage with runway-worthy sophistication.

Cocktails, Diamonds, and Texas Elegance

The fusion of Star Hill Ranch’s historic ambiance with cutting-edge fashion created an atmosphere that was both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Guests mingled under the starlit Texas sky, sipping on signature cocktails crafted with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a brand synonymous with Austin’s vibrant spirit. The presence of Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott added a touch of glamour to the evening, showcasing jewelry that perfectly complemented the Western couture on display.

As the night unfolded, it became evident that this event was more than just a fashion show; it was a celebration of Texas’s rich cultural tapestry, its cinematic legacy, and its ever-evolving style. The Cowboy Couture Fashion Show at Star Hill Ranch was a testament to the enduring allure of Western aesthetics and their seamless integration into contemporary fashion.

We previously attended an event with Bill Murray at the Star Hill Ranch in 2024. Read about that here!
